Banana Smoothie
Prep time
Total time
Serves: 1
  • ¾ cup skim milk, soy milk or fruit juice
  • ½ medium banana (or other fruit)
  • 4 Tbsp yogurt (or soft naturally fermented tofu)
  • 1 tsp apple juice concentrate (or maple syrup)
  • 1 Tbsp Flax Seed Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Hi-Lignan® Nutri Flax® Powder
  • Cinnamon, nutmeg, and/or ginger to taste (optional)
  1. Pour all ingredients in a blender. Blend until desired consistency is reached. Let warm slightly before serving and then adjust consistency and seasoning.

  1. I use Omega Pumpkin Seed mix in a banana and almond milk
peanut butter and a little water, perhaps a few walnuts

  2. I love this idea (with the exception of skim milk. I would suggest using whole milk or almond milk).

It is a great blend, particularly with cinnamon which will keep the blood sugar levels from elevating too high due to the fructose.

This would an excellent pre-exercise shake.
